Antique millefiore "end of day" glass acorn in metal. Millefiore in Italian translates to "thousand flowers" and is a glassworking technique that makes patterns on the glass that look like a floral mosaic. An 'end of day piece' is when the glass artist uses the remaining scrap glass they've been working with to create something extraordinary.
