A lusty lover’s romp – this perfume oil is born of our fascination with natural aphrodisiacs and is a super blend of some of our simple, elegant favorites.
Tension relieving and antidepressant, rose has been used since ancient times for love potions, sensual elixirs, and sexual tonics. Cleopatra is said to have bathed in rose water and covered her bed in the soft, pungent petals. The allegedly tempting Egyptian queen didn't know it but rose contains phenylethylamine – the same chemical produced by the brain when you're falling in love and that helps to reduce stress and anxiety, calming negative emotions that can get in the way of arousal.
Stimulating black pepper is known to increase blood flow and heart rate and to release endorphins because it contains the compound capsaicin.
Cinnamon was so revered in ancient times that it was gifted to monarchs and offered to gods. An ingredient in spells to bring good fortune, cinnamon is said to release fear and can be prepared to create a “cloud of protection”. Known to increase blood flow and bestow a subtle warmth to the body, the enticing scent of cinnamon is also thought to increase sexual desire.
Delicate and carnal, patchouli has been added to the blend because it is a beloved aphrodisiac purported to stimulate hormone receptors.
