Small hand blown glass lobster. Lobsters grow by molting, or casting off, their shells. The female lobster tends to mate after molting her shell, while still in a soft-shell state. Lobsters have come to be seen as symbols of showing your vulnerability in order to attain a true connection of love and trust with a partner.
