Description
Sweetgrass or hierochloe odorata, meaning "fragrant holy grass", is a perennial herb with a sweet vanilla-like scent. Traditionally burned by Native Americans as incense for purification of a space, driving away negativity, and as an offering to spirits and departed ancestors.
