Description
Small, charming sculpted iron wild pig. Many aboriginal cultures regarded the pig as a symbol of fertility and bountiful harvest. For Gallic and Celtic peoples in early Europe, the wild boar symbolized ferocity in battle. As a spirit animal, pigs are associated with wisdom and redoubtable strength as they are notoriously independent, intelligent animals. In many Asian traditions, pigs are associated with prosperity and good fortune. The pig has been a symbol of luck and prosperity since the middle ages because the possession of many pigs was a sign of wealth and meant that you would never go hungry. A small pig is still often gifted around the holidays as an amulet of good fortune for the new year.
